1st Potluck Game Night

On February 16, 2008 we gathered at Lorraine's house for the first FCS Potluck Game Night.  The theme was Mexican food and we all brought dishes and played Cranium and Outburst.  The night was full of good conversation, good fun, and lots of laughing.  We had about 14 people show up, but forgot to take a photo until the end of the night.  (That is Lorraine & Mark's dog Buddy in the photo, and he is in no way a demon dog, despite his shiny eyes).

3rd Anniversary Event w/ Guest Speaker Sandra Glahn

FCS will host our third anniversary event on Friday November 30, 2007.  Please join us for hors de oveurs, good friends, and guest speaker Sandra Glahn.

Sandra Glahn, Th.M., is the editor of Kindred Spirit magazine and is the author or coauthor of 14 books, including 8 that relate to the subject of reproduction and sexual intimacy. Currently she is an adjunct professor in the media arts program at Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) and is pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Dallas.  Her books include  When Empty Arms Become a Heavy Burden: Encouragement for Couples Facing Infertility;  Sexual Intimacy in Marriage; Lethal Harvest: A Novel; Deadly Cure: A Novel;  False Positive: A Novel; and The Infertility Companion.  Her most recent book is a seminars and workshops on marriage, writing, and infertility. She and her husband, Gary, have been married 28 years and have one child, who joined their family through adoption.  See her website aspire2.com.

Event attended by Fertility Challenges Support 

Fertility Challenges Support attended the SHER Institute for Reproductive Medicine free seminar "Infertility Options in 2006" on May 23 and 24 to give out information and brochures about the support group.  We were able to reach out to hundreds of people and had three new couples attend the next Saturday meeting as a result. 

Ladies Night Out Events

The last ladies night out was at Super Suppers in Las Colinas.  We got to prepare yummy meals and get to know each other better.  It was lots of fun.  Check our calendar periodically for the next planned event.
