Treatment Overview

  • Ovulation Induction:  describes the treatments used to induce ovulation in females who do not currently ovulate naturally or have erratic cycles.  Page 2

  • Hyperstimulation:   provides a description of hyperstimulation treatment to induce the ovaries to produce and ovulate multiple eggs.  This is a more aggressive treatment than ovulation induction.  Page 3

  • IUI:  provides a description of intrauterine insemination (IUI).  This procedure may be carefully timed with a natural cycle or used in conjunction with medications such as Clomid, Femara, and FSH that induce ovulation.  Page 4

  • IVF:  provides a description of in vitro fertilization.  Page 5

  • IVF with ICSI:  Intracytoplasmic sperm injection.  Page 6
